I met Michelle and Sam at Pinnacle overlook in Holtwood, PA on a beautiful spring day. Driving in Lancaster is always fun but a little daunting. The roads are narrow and winding, but it was a quiet drive, with not much traffic except for the occasional horse and buggy. Once I parked in the lot I met Michelle and Sam, and we explored the area among the other couples out on dates and families walking their dogs. The sun was slowly setting, there was a soft breeze, and the tranquility of this space felt perfect after a long and cold winter in the city. It felt so incredibly peaceful to be out in nature. Sam and Michelle were great in front of the camera and reminisced about the start of their relationship. This sweet couple met through their church, and after Covid upended their wedding plans they decided to elope in 2020. Now, they were planning the wedding of their dreams to celebrate with all of their loved ones this summer. We ended the session with a celebratory champagne pop and the smell of a campfire beneath us. It was a beautiful day with an even more beautiful couple, and I can’t wait to photograph these two this summer at their wedding!
